Christine Ritter (TXMT105532)

Christine Ritter received her initial massage therapy training at the Hands-On Approach School of Massage in Corpus Christi, Texas, and her massage therapist license in 2008.  Every year, Christine receives more than twice the required amount of massage CEU’s as she endeavors to learn as much as she can about the human body in order to provide pain relief through massage.  She will often take classes specifically to help her address a recurring theme she sees in her clients.

Several years ago, Christine participated in a workshop called "Oncology Massage Therapy:  Caring for Clients with Cancer".  In particular, Christine learned under what circumstances a cancer survivor can receive a massage, and what type of massage is appropriate for the different types of cancer and different stages of survivorship.  Christine is a cancer survivor and understands the benefits of massage on the human psyche as one goes through this sometimes traumatic recovery process.  She is happy to talk to anyone who is interested in her experience and the things she has learned as a cancer survivor.

Before becoming a massage therapist, Christine earned a Ph.D. from the U.T. Marine Science Institute located in Port Aransas.  She taught high school science and math for 10 years.  Her academic background provides her with the analytical tools needed to evaluate the tension she finds in a client’s body and connect disparate issues that are related as she is providing massage.  Her experience as a teacher provides her with the skills to coach her clients on how to constructively meet their health and wellness goals.  In addition to being a licensed massage therapist, Christine is also a fiber artist.

What People Say
"Your healing touch was so powerful that I still remember that session 4 or 5 years ago. So happy to hear you are opening a healing center in Rockport- and I’ll definitely come see you! Blessings and mucho aloha." -- Steve C., 09/22/19
"At 60 years of age I've had lots of massages.  Christine is right at the top of the list.  She managed to work out several huge knots I've had in my shoulders for years.  I slept like a baby that night.  If you are into deep tissue massages she will do the job for you.  I give her a 6 out of 5-star rating." --Virginia C., 09/10/18
